It's a great writeup about the Farola. I remember the place in about 1967-1970, can't remember much the exact year. I still have pictures of the beautiful Farola back home. At the foot of the hill where this was standing were lots of siniguelas trees. I loved the history you brought up! Didn't know about it until now. See, I was still in 5th grade when my dad went there to campaign for councilor of Lobo, Batangas. I'm sure it has changed a lot. But the picture of Malabrigo point with clear waters and flat smooth rocks at the bottom of the sea is as clear today as before. The lighthouse was brightly painted then-white and orange-red if I remember correctly. I live in the USA now. But I still browse through the internet to see what goes on at Lobo. My fondest memories are of the its shores and the lovely people. Thanks for the info and the pictures.

Thank you for reading the article and for your wonderful comment. The road to Lobo is kind of rough for motorists yet it's all worth it. Lobo has majestic beauty, colorful history and accomodating residents. I'm glad you have fond memories of the place and that my article made you revisit the beautiful past. :)
